This post is the place for you to leave your thoughts about your experience in reading Dickens&#8217; own favorite novel of his. What did you gain from reading it? What challenged you? What uplifted you? What surprised you?<\/p>\n<p>It had been over twenty years since I last read the novel, and I was very pleased to discover that it was still as enjoyable and moving as the first time. I had no very clear memory of the plot, so in many ways it was like reading the book again for the first time. Of all the Dickens books I have read, I believe\u00a0<em>David Copperfield<\/em> has my favorite set of characters. Besides Copperfield himself, there are so many characters to love: Micawber, Mr. Dick, Traddles, Peggotty, Barkis, and of course Emily, Dora, and Agnes. There are also a fair number of villains to dread, among them Murdstone, Creakle, and Heep.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to returning to <em>David Copperfield<\/em> in another ten years or so.
