I’ve always been fond of classic British authors, so the British Books Challenge (hosted by Chelley at Tales of Yesterday)<\/a> fit right into my reading plan for 2017. I read thirteen books for this challenge, only two of which I had read before,\u00a0Emma\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Nineteen Eighty-four<\/em>.<\/p>\n

My favorite was\u00a0Rebecca\u00a0<\/em>by Daphne du Maurier, and my least favorite was Beerbohm’s\u00a0Zuleika Dobson<\/em>. Genres included epic poetry, science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and satire. The most recent book was Agatha Christie’s\u00a04:50 from Paddington<\/em> from\u00a01957, and the earliest book was Daniel Defoe’s\u00a0Journal of the Plague Year<\/em> from 1722.<\/p>\n

I’ve already signed up for the 2018 British Books Challenge<\/a>, raising my goal to fifteen books.<\/p>\n
