The reading challenge sign-ups continue with Bev’s Mount TBR 2018 Challenge<\/a>. This is her seventh year hosting this challenge that encourages readers to read the books that have been purchased over the years and never read. I have an embarrassing amount of books on my to-be-read shelf, so I am definitely participating in this challenge again. There are several levels to this challenge, each of which is represented by a different mountain:<\/p>\n

Pike’s Peak<\/strong>: Read 12 books from your TBR pile\/s
\nMount Blanc<\/strong>: Read 24 books from your TBR pile\/s
\nMt. Vancouver<\/strong>: Read 36 books from your TBR pile\/s
\nMt. Ararat<\/strong>: Read 48 books from your TBR piles\/s
\nMt. Kilimanjaro<\/strong>: Read 60 books from your TBR pile\/s
\nEl Toro<\/strong>: Read 75 books from your TBR pile\/s
\nMt. Everest<\/strong>: Read 100 books from your TBR pile\/s
\nMount Olympus (Mars)<\/strong>: Read 150+ books from your TBR pile\/s<\/p>\n

With less than a month left in 2017, I am still working on reaching Mount Vancouver’s 36 books. In 2018 I’m going to stretch myself a bit to try and climb Mt. Ararat by reading 48 books from my TBR pile. Not only do I like the biblical connection, but I also really want to make a dent in my unread books. In fact, unless a really amazing book comes up, I plan on only reading previously purchased books in 2018.<\/p>\n
