\"Whats<\/p>\n

The What’s in a Name Reading Challenge<\/a>\u00a0hosted by The Worm Hole<\/a> was a lot of fun. The challenge was to choose a book from each of six categories, write reviews of each of them, and post them on the appropriate pages at The Worm Hole. I’m happy to say that I have finished the challenge–my first real reading challenge ever. Here are the books I read in the order I read them, along with links to my reviews:<\/p>\n

  2. A number in numbers:<\/strong>\u00a04:50 from Paddington<\/em>\u00a0by Agatha Christie\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Finished 2\/13\/2017<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  3. A compass direction:<\/strong>\u00a0Empire of the East<\/em>\u00a0by Fred Saberhagen \u2013\u00a0Finished 9\/16\/2017<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  4. A title in which at least two words share the same first letter:<\/strong>\u00a0The Lincoln Lawyer<\/em>\u00a0by Michael Connelly\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Finished 10\/24\/2017<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  5. A building:<\/strong>\u00a0The Murder at the Vicarage<\/em>\u00a0by Agatha Christie \u2013\u00a0Finished 11\/4\/2017<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  6. An item\/items of cutlery:<\/strong>\u00a0The Story Knife\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0by Brad Reynolds \u2013\u00a0Finished 11\/5\/2017<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The hardest category to find was an item of cutlery. I ended up re-reading\u00a0The Story Knife<\/em>, a book I had last read twenty years ago. My favorite of the books I read for this challenge is\u00a0The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox<\/em>, though a close second is Michael Connelly’s\u00a0The Lincoln Lawyer<\/em>.<\/p>\n

    Though this was my first time participating in the What’s in a Name Challenge, this was the challenge’s tenth year. I hope it continues next year, because I would love to do it again.<\/p>\n
