A mom who always puts her family first;
\nA dad who sacrifices his life for his children’s;
\nSiblings who celebrate life in the midst of suffering;
\nA wife who tirelessly gives flesh and bone daily;
\nChildren who trust that we know what we’re doing;
\nFriends who keep in touch over years and miles;
\nColleagues in education who work to build your kingdom;
\nStudents who leap to volunteer at a moment’s notice.<\/p>\n
All that I am, all that I do,
\nAre only because you did it first, Lord,
\nHumbly accepting the pain of the cross,
\nWorking through the servants you’ve placed in my life.<\/p>\n
Let my life be an ongoing act of thanksgiving
\nBy my service to them, to the world, and to you.
\nGive me the grace to always put my family first,
\nTo sacrifice my life for my children’s;
\nTo celebrate life in the midst of suffering;
\nTo tirelessly give flesh and bone daily;
\nTo trust that you know what you’re doing;
\nTo keep in touch with others over years and miles;
\nTo work to build your kingdom;
\nAnd to volunteer at a moment’s notice.<\/p>\n
Let my service echo their service;
\nLet my life echo Christ’s life;
\nLet my love echo your love.<\/p>\n
