The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

A hiliarious, quite random, British comedy.  What if everything you thought to be right about the world turned out wrong?  And then the world blew up in five minutes.  Emily A.
Rating: ***1/2

Extremely funny. But you have to be able to understand British humor. Ann B.

This was an entertaining science fiction book. It is good for first time readers of science fiction because it isn't too bizarre. Michelle G.

This was a funny and entertaining book. Douglas Adams does a great job of making alien worlds. This is great for sci-fi readers. Colin M.

It was not one of the greatest books I have read. It was boring and wasn't very zany as it said it was. Kirkland H.

Fairly funny, but not a good enough book to spend your time on. James S.

This story is about the funny adventures of Arthur and Ford Prefect hitchhiking around the universe. I didn't like this book because its structure was weak and the plot wasn't developed. Dillon M.
Rating: ***

A hilarious sci-fi comedy. John S.

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

If you like humorous books with many twists, this is the book for you. Douglas Adams takes you on a trip with an electric monk on a horse, and a very strange Dirk Gently, who owns a detective agency gone bad. When a possessed body wants to destroy earth, Richard, Sarah and Dirk have to stop him. Chris M.

The Long, Dark Tea-Time of the Soul

This was a wacky book about an act of God , or a god, in this case hitting an airport. It turns out to have a pizza-wanting girl, holistic detective, Thor, Odin and an eagle to all fit in together. Chris M.
Rating: ****

The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

A hilarious sci-fi comedy. Great for sci-fi lovers and those who aren't. John S.
Rating: ****

Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent are back in the search for the ruler of the universe. This story is written excellently and I recommend it to anyone who didn't like the first one. This one has more structure to it and isn't as confusing/wacky. Dillon M.
Rating: *****

So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

To really understand this novel, you would have to read the three previous books. If you haven't read any of his others it's still a great comedy/sci-fi. I laughed the whole time I read this. It's about a man named Arthur Dent who falls in love on his previous planet Earth. To find out more, read it, it's worth it. Chris M.
