How to Explain RSS and Subscribing to Blogs

Ever tried explaining to your teacher friends or students what RSS is, or how you subscribe to blogs? Want to know about RSS yourself? John Mahoney of TheDigitalEdgeBlog has a terrific video series about that very subject. Here’s the first episode:

I use Google Reader to keep track of my RSS feeds, and I think every teacher should use some sort of feed reader to keep current on educational news, trends and technology. In fact, that’s how I heard about John Mahoney’s video–through the IMYM Tutorials blog that I read this morning in my Google Reader. Here are some more of the education blogs that I read each day:
